1、配件检查用软件：EVEREST，HWiNFO，如果对自己的配件不是很清楚，可以用它们来检测一下。
A、 EVEREST
EVEREST（原名AIDA32）一个测试软硬件系统信息的工具，它可以详细的显示出PC每一个方面的信息。支持上千种(3400+)主板，支持上百种(360+)显卡，支持对并口/串口/USB这些PNP设备的检测，支持对各式各样的处理器的侦测。而且也会出给官方的下载地址：如下图所示

B、 HWiNFO
电脑硬件检测软件。它主要可以显示出处理器、主板及芯片组、PCMCIA接口、BIOS版本、内存等信息，另外HWiNFO还提供了对处理器、内存、硬盘（WIN9X里不可用）以及CD-ROM的性能测试功能

2、驱动备份与恢复软件：A、驱动精灵，B、优化大师
在安装驱动之前，如果找到驱动光盘或没有保存好驱动，就可以用这它们来保存，在安装好系统后，也建议用它们把驱动保存一下。
A、驱动精灵

3、安装驱动的方法及一般注意项
A、安装驱动及其软件的顺序：
安装好系统
打上补丁包
安装DX9.0C（XP SP2及VISTA不必安装）
安装主板芯片组驱动
安装显卡驱动
安装声卡驱动
安装其它驱动
B、安装驱动的二种方法及附加解决方法
1）使用厂家提供的安装包进行的，直接运行安装包然后按指示进行，如下图所示：

选择浏览计算机以查找驱动

部分驱动，特别是在WIN2003及VISTA下，经常会出现说提示找不到合适的驱动，但事实上又可以用相关的驱动的
这时，就可以用这种方法（注意，使用这种方法一定要确认好驱动的型号对应，另外，如果真的装上出错了，就重启，在进入系统前按F8，选择“最后一次正确配置”就可以恢复）如下图所示：

点从磁盘安装，再浏览到你驱动存放的目录

要注意的是，使用系统驱动向导和附加方法安装驱动是无法查找到安装包里面的驱动信息的，必须先把安装包解压缩出来，如下图所示：

C、注意事项：
HD声卡需装上HD的补丁（VISTA不需要安装），大多数HD声卡驱动也带有HD补丁，会随驱动的安装而安装上，如果HD补丁已经打上，就可以免除打这个补丁的步骤（有不少XP SS2安装包在打补丁包时就把HD的补丁也装上了，比如番茄花园版的；在设备管理器里查看到是＂PCI DRIVE＂的未知设备时，表示这个补丁没打上）
如果是用光盘来安装驱动，声卡驱动与芯片组驱动放在同一个光盘里的，也可以先装完声卡的驱动再来安装显卡驱动。
部分用户的使用NV的芯片组主板、但显卡用的是AMD（ATI）的，或主板是AMD（ATI）芯片组的，显卡是NV的，这种情况，为避免出现兼容性问题，一般来说，建议先把BIOS升级到最新，并下载通过WQHL版的驱动，在安装时，不要安装AMD（ATI）的控制面板及.net，只安装纯驱动就好（如果是一个安装文件的，把它解压缩出来，指定目录到DRIVE即可）。
